Interview Request: Managing Labs Remotely

For an upcoming article, I am seeking interviews with lab managers who have responsibility for managing lab sites remotely. The article on the topic of managing remotely is set to be published in the March 2016 issue of Lab Manager Magazine and will reach an audience of over 44,000 lab professionals.

I would like to interview up to three lab managers who work work in various organizations, including CROs, clinical laboratory and academic/government research settings, and supervise labs at other geographic locations and/or manage multi-institutional research projects.

The focus of the article will be on providing: 1) a snapshot of the major challenges associated with managing labs remotely to include day-to-day operations, data tracking and team communications issues; and 2) overview practical tools and resources (e.g., software solutions, virtual lab manager services) to mitigate these issues.

If you (or someone you know) may be interested, please email me directly at donna@sciencementor.me by Monday, January 4, 2016. The interviews will be conducted by email with a short list of targeted questions emailed to the interviewee and brief written responses to be returned to me at the earliest convenience (final deadline of gathering responses by Friday, January 8).

I look forward to sharing your input with readers!
